Grand Opening Of Kwirrading Koort
We were invited to the Grand Opening of Kwirrading Koort, Quairading’s new community park on Friday 15th September.
Rick Wilson MP, Darren West MLC and Quairading Shire President Peter Smith cut the ribbon and officially opened Kwirrading Koort to the community.
The new Quairading community park was generously funded by Lotterywest, the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program, the Shire of Quairading and Quairading Rural Youth.

The Quairading Vintage Club has meticulously prepared the authentic Quairading Shire MacDonald Roller to be a highlight at the brand-new community park.

Artwork Within The Quairading Playground
Charlie Colbung, is a talented Noongar artist from Quairading his stunning sketch, showcasing the iconic Banksia cuneata plant, serves as the foundation for the entrance signs.
The Quairading Shire collaborated with 90 Degrees Graffiti & Street Art, Dan and Helainie worked on creating a captivating representation of the Wheatbelt landscape. Their focus was to highlight the region’s native plants and animals, while also honoring the tireless efforts of our dedicated farmers. Over the course of several months, they meticulously crafted a design that beautifully captures the essence of this unique environment. Installed by Signman onto the toilet walls makes a beautiful feature to this park.
Metal flower sculptures that turn in the wind make a wonderful addition to the landscaping.

Visiting Quairading Playground - Kwirrading Koort
Kwirrading Koort is an adventure playground and community park for all ages. Located on the corner of McLennan St and Parker St, Quairading. Walking distance from the main street shops and Quairading Caravan Park.
The park is equipped with convenient accessible toilets that also have baby change facilities.
In addition, you’ll find a BBQ area and ample seating throughout the park. The park is also dog friendly with drink fountain with water bowl. Plus, for safety and peace of mind, the entire park is fully fenced.
